Un-Treated Eye Problems Raises Risks

Another victim of the current recession is our vision for as it turns out, more people opt not to get treatment for their eye problems if they do not have access to health care. This is quite alarming for the risks in the workplace increases as more and more people having poor eyesight continue to perform their duties without treatment. Eye treatments used to be a very minor issue but as the recession bites hard it becomes more out of reach of most Americans. People are skimping on treatment to save on cash they have to pay for themselves that should have been covered by health insurance.
More complicated eye problems such as those that need major treatment are more expensive thus out of reach for most. The problem with poor eyesight in the workplace is the increase of chances their eye problems have on their performance of their duties. Some accidents are attributed to such eye problems that a simple pair of prescriptions can correct easy. Those who do have access lessen their visits to save on cash spent on transportation and other costs thus limiting the effectiveness of current treatments.
